Unnits are teams of talented experts who live and breathe their work. More than that, they also dismantling the stereotypes about developers by moonlighting at tattoo artists, practicing martial arts, and even playing the organ at church.

They develop web apps and lend their expertise to big brands, both locally and abroad. They also have expertly developer teams that they hire out to big companies that don’t have teams of their own or need extra manpower.

Our task was to create a strong brand that could hold its own in the highly competitive IT environment and become the face of the software factory industry being trailblazed by Unnits.

The visual identity for Unnits fuses the developer’s work tool – code – with the personalities of its team members. An emoticon was created for each team member to capture both their personality and line of expertise. These emoticons can be found on business cards, pictograms around the office and web illustrations, creating a new kind of communication “code” that highlights the company’s human side.

Impulse¹

We had been in talks with the owner, Ondřej Kuděj, for quite some time to discuss the rebranding of his company, Litea Solution. After a series of consultations, we arrived at the conclusion that this called for more than just a new logo and when the time was right, we got the go-ahead and went straight to work.

Reaction²

The original brand was laid to rest and a whole new brand identity was created. You can tell it took off because the team members at Unnits are even having company merch commissioned with the new branding. According to Unnits customers, the brand feels much more professional and scaled up.

Connection³

The new identity has given the brand’s social media a much-needed boost, allowing Unnits to reach a much wider audience and attract viable job applicants. The increase in web traffic is just the icing on the cake.

Growth⁴

Investing into a new brand has clearly paid off because Unnits is thriving. They are stronger and more confident – both inside and out. They have been instilled with a new sense of pride, which brings them closer together as a team.
